Train to train
Alan Moon game of 2004 is celebrating its already 5 - Birthday of why the publisher Days of Wonder "from 1:10:09 to the first train to train World Cup will be invited.
"Train to train," originally a term that is typically used in chess, for example in the analysis of grandmaster games. Therefore, the ambiguous content of the title only on second glance it becomes clear. This is also the English title of "Ticket to Ride" so, for some it is with the Beatles - bringing classics here.
Nevertheless, both titles for the game are more than apt, because ultimately it's about trains, or more precisely the creation of a route network between the most well known cities in the U.S., during which you can then drive trains.
This is done with the simplest possible and quickly understandable rules: To claim a route in one of the colors available, the player must collect cards of the same color and number of the respective sections and play. Why does he do it? Because he has a mission, namely, certain cities to connect to each other by train routes. The city links the player draws this card as well, with the distances of the cities pretending to each other the difficulty of the trail and yield correspondingly more or less victory points.
Ergo: There are 3 ways to make his train: pull wagon cards, draw Destination cards or "use" a stretch. But be played on the cards owned, is a particular color and designed cars of his own color on the board. Depending on the length of the section, the player then receives victory points.
The winner is the end, who has collected by track construction and city links the most points. There is no special classification is there for the longest, was built on a piece of track.
Train to train is a game that is fun and invites you to fiddle around. How do I get it out as efficiently as possible, to connect and when I build my cities? Sooner or later? I wait until I draw a matching color, or do I sacrifice the suit for an important stretch neutral? Train to train throws any questions about questions. This keeps the game exciting and entertaining. Because the game is simple, it can be good in a spontaneous round of "little players" play.
The only criticism is really only the plastic wagons. How beautiful would the game with some subtle colored wooden wagons. Our Brio wooden train is unfortunately too large
