Imperial is a game of Walther "Mac" Gerdts from the Eggert-Verlag. This game reminds me of the initial very serious. On first reading of the game's name, the game was really ticked off for me already. Imperial ... but is strongly reminiscent of my, oh-so-hated subject in school ... HISTORY ... An absolute horror. But frankly, I have a weakness, and pick games very much after the appearance of the box.

The design is a real eye-catcher, not to mention the size ... At some point, the visual stimulus but prevailed and we have bought the game. Upon opening the box, but doubts were quickly back in the box ... a kind of little history booklet is included. Fortunately, only briefly the Backgroundwissen the time to refresh and not for the game needed. But it turned out even worse ... I had bought the game but because of the beautiful cover of the next negative point ... just stabs in the eye ... the board did not accept the nice graphics of the box, but in the 80s board game outfit landed on the table.
