A matter of ear
A question of ear is a play by Jeffrey D. Allers, and originates from the Pegasus Publishing. Here is the smartest farmers reap the biggest potatoes. It is therefore possible sent the native plant potatoes, maize, oilseed rape, sugar beet and wheat harvest.
The first impression of the game is hard to put into words. First, the game seemed to me as a cheap copy of the dome show "Farmer Wants a Wife" and therefore unappealing. Upon opening the box onto a jump against the same game plan that initially reminded of how a game from long ago. The distribution of points and the color bar pushing a formally on the parallels to roulette. Visually, the game is really not a highlight, but we come to the essence of the game itself
On a huge Schedule beside the point bar a warehouse and a cultivated area are shown.
The mounting surface is composed of individual fields, each of which one of the five growing plants is shown. There are different sizes of attachment plates, which consist of one or two fields. Of these, each player receives five individual plates, with each crop, as well as three of the mixed double stack on the hand.
In the warehouse, however, farms and houses can be purchased.
The starting player begins with the laying of a plaque. It should be noted that in this case on each of the field of plant changes. Throughout the game, different levels arise from the different uses of each field. A tile may not, however obliquely, that are placed in two planes. As an interim measure, a single serving plate. The height difference is greater than a plane, this is not readily compensate.
For the laid fields then points will be awarded. One must here, however, decide whether you want to earn points in the farm store, or would like to reap the victory points for the fields. Farm points are determined by specific points, which are painted on the specified field. Points for the farm so you can at the end of the game provide additional victory points and build farms, which in each round get extra points. The victory points are calculated based on all the surrounding fields with the same crop.
After each turn at the end of the hand is replenished on three double-growing fields. A maximum of one field are grown, whether one or zweifeldrig.
The fade at the beginning of huge impression is deceptive. The result is totally simple rules despite a race in crop production, which requires a lot of tactical skill. If you want to collect a lot of victory points, you put both a successful model for the successor to build a bigger box. The initial impression of a game of chance can not be fully revised, but there is plenty of room for strategy fans, for the growing field is smaller than it appears. One feels very fast in the way, so that a mutual fret not absent.
The luck factor is in my opinion less than, for example, near Carcassonne. Particularly noteworthy is the extremely good material of the game. The plates are made of extra-thick material and the houses and counters are made of high quality wood. A matter of ear, everyone should have plays, but be careful ... addictive ...
